Borussia Dortmund are said to be closely monitoring the development of Jobe Bellingham and have the talented midfielder on their radar ahead of a potential move for him.
Four years after signing Jude Bellingham, Borussia Dortmund are reportedly considering making a move for his younger brother Jobe. According to Sky Sport, the Black and Yellows are in contact with the 19 year old and are following his development at Sunderland.
The highly rated attacking midfielder still has four years left on his current contract having recently signed an extension, and his signature is expected to cost around 25 million euros with several big clubs reportedly interested. The report adds that interest from Borussia Dortmund has not reached the concrete stage yet.
BVB signed Jobe Bellingham's older brother Jude from Birmingham City in 2020 and he established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world before making a big-money move to Real Madrid last year.
Jobe Bellingham is primarily an attacking midfielder, but is also more than capable of playing in the number eight role as well as defensive midfield. He has made a total of 60 appearances for Sunderland and has nine goals and two assists to his name. Bellingham also made his debut for the England U-21s recently.
Borussia Dortmund are expected to rejig their midfield next summer, and Jobe Bellingham could well be one of the players they look to sign. It will be interesting to see if Jobe follows in his brother's footsteps and makes the switch to BVB in the near future.
