Borussia Dortmund unveil Rote Erde centenary shirt to face Hamburger SV | OneFootball

According to BuLi News, Borussia Dortmund will mark 100 years of Rote Erde Stadium with a special shirt made by their long-time kit supplier, PUMA. The first team will debut it in their home match against Hamburger SV on 21 March.

The tribute nods to the ground where the senior side played from 1937 to 1974, which now serves as home for the club’s second team.

Design cues span from the entrance gates to the running track, referencing features that have shaped the atmosphere since its 1926 opening. The back carries the inscription “100 Jahre Stadion Rote Erde”, translating as “100 Years of Rote Erde Stadium”.

Kerstin Zerbe, Dortmund’s merchandising managing director, said the shirt is intended to capture the stadium’s architecture, atmosphere and history, connecting tradition with the present in a contemporary design.

Supporters can buy the jersey from 19 March in BVB fan shops and online.
