Botafogo weigh Danilo call-up for Vitória as Palmeiras push talks | OneFootball

Botafogo are considering naming Danilo in their squad to face Vitória on Thursday 23, amid ongoing interest from Palmeiras. He reported back on Monday and remains a doubt to feature.

According to Nosso Palestra, the coaching staff and board want him available for the match at Estádio Nilton Santos, with a final discussion scheduled for Wednesday 22 over his immediate future.

Meanwhile, Palmeiras are trying to unlock negotiations with Botafogo, who are standing firm on their valuation. The club's preference remains a sale to a European side.

So far, only Zenit of Russia have made a formal offer. The proposal suits Botafogo, but the Palmeiras academy graduate is not keen, at least initially, on moving to Russian football.

If Danilo is selected and plays, he would reach 13 league appearances. That would prevent a move to Palmeiras due to the domestic appearance limit.
