AFC Bournemouth are in advanced talks with Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen to sign Amine Adli (25), according to a report from Foot Mercato. The France-born Morocco international was expected to leave Die Werkself after three seasons in the Bundesliga. Adli joined Bayer Leverkusen from formative club Toulouse FC in a €7m deal. Adli logged 23 goals and 24 assists in 142 games with Bayer.
Marseille reportedly enquired about Adli, but it appears the 25-year-old wants to test his mettle in the Premier League. The outlet reports that Adli has reached an agreement on personal terms to join Andoni Iraola’s Cherries. Bournemouth are reportedly confident that an agreement over a transfer fee will eventually be reached with Erik ten Hag’s Bayer side in the coming days. Both clubs remain in advanced talks.
