Bournemouth team news

Andoni Iraola has rebuilt his defensive line following several major departures to European giants. Djordje Petrović is set for his Premier League bow after arriving from Chelsea for £25m, providing stability between the posts following his impressive Ligue 1 displays on loan at Strasbourg.

Adrien Truffert slots in at left-back after his £14.4m transfer from Rennes, offering pace and delivery from wide areas. The French defender fills the void left by Milos Kerkez’s £40m move to Liverpool, creating an intriguing subplot as the latter faces his former teammates.

Central defence has also been overhauled following the exits of Dean Huijsen (Real Madrid, £50m) and Illya Zabarnyi (Paris Saint-Germain, £54.5m). Marcos Senesi provides experience alongside newer arrivals as Iraola seeks stability at the heart of his backline.

French centre-back Bafode Diakite, signed from Lille for £34.6 million, is also poised to make his debut after joining earlier this week. Bournemouth have no suspensions for this fixture.

However, injury concerns continue to affect team selection. Lewis Cook remains out with a knee problem, whilst Ryan Christie (groin), Luis Sinisterra (thigh) and Justin Kluivert (calf) are all progressing through their respective rehabilitation programmes. Enes Unal also continues his recovery from knee surgery.

Antoine Semenyo headlines the attacking threat after committing his future to the club with a new contract extension. The winger’s pace and directness will be vital in transition moments against Liverpool’s high defensive line.

Bournemouth predicted lineup

Bournemouth predicted XI: Petrović; Araujo, Senesi, Diakite, Truffert; Adams, Scott; Semenyo, Tavernier, Ouattara; Evanilson.
