Bradley Barcola has given Liverpool his agreement in principle, though a move away from Paris Saint-Germain remains far from settled.

According to L'Équipe, the saga could run for some time yet, but a significant step has been taken in recent hours.

The 23-year-old, under contract until 2028, has decided not to extend, a stance first revealed on Sunday. The France international has 28 caps and 6 goals.

He has spoken with several Liverpool executives as well as the Reds’ new head coach, Andoni Iraola, and their presentation convinced him.

Three seasons after arriving in Paris, and two European titles later, Barcola envisages beginning a new sporting cycle on Merseyside.
