Brasileirão 2026 table after round five, São Paulo top and Santos 14th | OneFootball

The fifth round of the 2026 Brasileirão concluded on Thursday night. Athletico-PR v Botafogo will be played on 29 March. According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos ended the round 14th on five points.

São Paulo lead after beating Chapecoense 2-0 to reach 13 points. Palmeiras are second on 10 despite a 2-1 defeat at Vasco, the same total as Fluminense, who won 2-0 at Remo. Bahia are fourth with eight after drawing 1-1 with Vitória.

The relegation places start with Botafogo on three points and two games in hand. Remo are 18th, also on three. Internacional have two and are 19th, with Cruzeiro bottom on two.

Santos face Internacional then Cruzeiro after the derby against Corinthians.

There were 16 goals across nine matches, an average of 1.77 per game. Home sides collected four wins, away teams two, with three draws.

Elsewhere, Flamengo beat Cruzeiro 2-0 and Atlético-MG edged Internacional 1-0. Corinthians lost 0-2 to Coritiba, while Grêmio drew 1-1 with Red Bull Bragantino.
