Orlando Pirates have announced that Sinoxolo Kwayiba is set to rejoin Chippa United on a permanent transfer.

The 25-year-old signed for the Soweto giants during the off-season, but failed to impress as he only managed to make four appearances across all competitions with zero goal contributions.

He arrived in Gauteng from the Chilli Boys on the back of catching the eye with seven goals and a solitary assist in 27 games last season, in addition to making his Bafana Bafana debut.

Kwayiba, who has one goal in three international caps, will be hoping to get his career back on track in familiar surroundings in Gqeberha.

The forward will work under Vusumuzi Vilakazi as Chippa look to steer clear of the relegation zone, with the club currently sitting at the foot of the table.

Kwayiba will be itching to get off the mark when his team visits Orbit College in a Betway Premiership clash on 24 January after the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
