Breno Bidon has moved joint top of Corinthians’ scoring chart for 2026 after netting in the 2-1 defeat by Bahia in their Campeonato Brasileiro opener at Vila Belmiro. As reported by Meu Timao, the youngster was among the standout performers despite the loss.

His goal arrived on 12 minutes. Memphis Depay fed Rodrigo Garro, the No 10 slipped a pass into the six-yard box and Bidon finished crisply with his right foot beyond goalkeeper Ronaldo.

Bidon now has two goals this season. His first came in the derby against São Paulo at Neo Química Arena, where on 44 minutes he took Pedro Raul’s pass inside the area and steered into Rafael’s right corner.

He shares top spot with Yuri Alberto, also on two. André Ramalho, Gustavo Henrique and André Luiz have one apiece this year.

Corinthians now turn to their first shot at silverware on Sunday, 1 February, at 16:00. Dorival Júnior’s side face Flamengo at Mané Garrincha in Brasília in the Supercopa do Brasil.
