Brentford are assessing Mikkel Damsgaard’s fitness ahead of Saturday night’s Premier League visit to Elland Road.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the attacking midfielder sustained a knock during Monday’s 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers, departed after 72 minutes and missed some sessions, but he has rejoined training. Head coach Keith Andrews will give him every chance to prove he is ready.
Brentford remain without full-backs Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey because of hamstring injuries. Vitaly Janelt is sidelined with a metatarsal issue and Josh Dasilva with knee ligament damage, while Fábio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo are out for the season with ACL injuries.
Leeds have everyone available except the suspended Gabriel Gudmundsson. The Bees arrive in strong away form with recent wins at Burnley, Newcastle United and Aston Villa.
Andrews said the team have been on a good run, looking calm and confident, and that they have handled challenges well. He expects a quiet, assured approach at Elland Road.
Elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario will undergo hernia surgery next week. He has started all 30 of Spurs’ league matches this season, did not begin the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Atletico Madrid, then came on after back-up Antonín Kinský conceded three inside 17 minutes with two major errors. Rehabilitation will begin immediately and it is hoped he could return within the next month.
