Stade Brestois will travel to Auxerre on Saturday at 19:00 without centre-back Brendan Chardonnet and striker Ludovic Ajorque, both suspended. In better news, forward Mama Baldé is fit.

According to L'Équipe, Éric Roy must do without two standouts of recent weeks, captain Chardonnet and Ajorque, Ligue 1’s February player of the month. Chardonnet’s spot goes to Soumaïla Coulibaly, who had lost his place due to a hamstring injury and the emergence of Junior Diaz. The two will form the pairing, the Ivorian international shifting to the right because the returnee is left footed.

In attack, it remains to be seen who replaces the Réunion forward with such an uncommon profile. After two and a half months out, Mama Baldé has overcome a thigh problem and will rejoin the squad. Given his lack of minutes, starting him through the middle remains uncertain.

If he does not start, Rémy Labeau-Lascary could be the option, or even Pathé Mboup, both more often used on the left. In Brest’s 4-2-3-1, that flank now has fresh competition from Junior Dina-Ebimbe.

Beyond those decisions, the rest of the squad is available, a rarity for Brest heading into matchday 27.
