Brighton & Hove Albion keeper Loeck signs new deal

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Seagulls earlier today.
The 25-year-old German keeper joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan club Kristianstads DFF in January 2024 and she has provided some strong competition for the number one jersey. Loeck has made 16 appearances for Brighton & Hove Albion in all competitions.
With Brighton & Hove Albion having signed Chiamaka Nnadozie this summer. Competition in-between the sticks will be even higher this season and it has been revealed that Loeck will spend the remainder of the calendar year back in the OBOS Damallsvenskan in a loan spell with Hammarby IF.
Speaking following today’s news, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Dario Vidošić said “Melina had consistent match exposure in the second half of last season. She stepped up to the challenge in the WSL and played a key role in our record finish and we’re delighted that she is extending her stay with us.
“This loan with Hammarby will provide her the opportunity for regular game time in a competitive environment. We will monitor her progress and wish her all the best for her time in Sweden.”
