Brighton & Hove Albion are in discussions with Borussia Dortmund over a possible return for former midfielder Pascal Groß (34), with talks progressing positively between the two clubs, according to reports from Sky Sports.
Groß spent seven seasons on the south coast between 2017 and 2024, making more than 200 appearances and establishing himself as a cornerstone of Brighton’s rise in the Premier League. After 18 months in Germany, the veteran is understood to be keen on a return to English football and a reunion with the club where he enjoyed the most productive spell of his career.
Sky Sports News reports that a fee of around €1.5m is currently under discussion. Initial conversations have been encouraging, and there is optimism on all sides that negotiations could move swiftly.
While no agreement has yet been reached, the willingness of both player and clubs to engage constructively suggests a return could soon materialise. For Brighton supporters, the prospect of Groß once again pulling on the club’s colours is beginning to feel increasingly realistic.
