Blues European dream derailed after turgid loss

Chelsea’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League this season are all but shot after they slumped to seventh in the table following a turgid 2-0 defeat at Brighton. Jack Hinshelwood missed a one-on-one shortly before the break and Chelsea were slightly improved after it, but he was there to double the hosts’ advantage mere minutes into the second-half.
