Bruno Fernandes prefers Casemiro to join Sporting over Porto

Bruno Fernandes said he would rather see Casemiro join Sporting than Porto, speaking to DAZN Portugal.

The midfielder had opened the scoring in Manchester United's 3-1 Premier League win at Aston Villa on Sunday.

His comments followed Thiago Silva's recent remarks about a reunion at Porto. "I believe his time here, at Porto, was very good, even if it was not that long," he told TNT Sports on 10 March.

"Having Casão on our side is much better than having him against us. For sure it would be a dream to play with Casemiro again in front of the defence. If it depends on Thiago Silva, that pairing is already signed."

Casemiro is due to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.
