Though Bukayo Saka has joined the Arsenal squad for their trip to Dubai this month, he’s not expected back in action until March.

Bukayo Saka was pictured joining the Arsenal first team on their trip to Dubai earlier this week, raising fan hopes that he could be set for a return to action before long.

Sadly that’s not the case, with Jordan Campbell reporting for The Athletic that the winger is anticipated to make his return from a hamstring injury at some point in March.

As a result, it wasn’t a shock that Saka wasn’t pictured in any training photos with Arsenal on Friday morning.

Simon Collings reports for The Standard that Saka has travelled to Dubai to continue his rehabilitation from injury, with the player undergoing hamstring surgery late in 2024.

Even the early reports on the injury suggested Saka would be out until March, given the severity of the problem.

The good news is that Arsenal don’t have many games between now and then. The Gunners have just three matches in the remainder of February, facing Leicester City on the 15th, West Ham United on the 22nd, and Nottingham Forest on the 26th.

In fact, Arsenal currently only have two games scheduled in March, though they’re both big-six clashes. The Gunners face Manchester United on March 9th and Chelsea on March 16th.

There will be fixtures added to that list, with Arsenal playing in the Champions League round of 16 on March 4th/5th and March 11th/12th. But in total, that’s only seven matches before April.

If Saka isn’t fit by the time the Gunners play Chelsea on March 16th, the subsequent international break will mean he doesn’t get another chance to feature for Mikel Arteta’s side until Fulham on April 1st. Though if he’s fit, it’s not impossible he joins up with England.
