Bukayo Saka says he is ignoring the noise around Arsenal’s title chances | OneFootball

Bukayo Saka says he and his Arsenal team-mates are not paying attention to the outside noise around their title chances this season.

The Gunners sit top of the Premier League after 11 games played, having won eight of them.

But Saka says his side are only focused on what is to come.

“People’s opinions and thoughts about us change like the weather,” he said.

“The most important thing is the changing room, how solid we are, the foundation we have, the belief we have in ourselves.

“How we stick together, through the good and bad, that’s the most important. We can’t pay attention to the external noise because it’s always fluctuating.

“We’re good, we’re in a good place. The last month or so has gone really well. We’ve won a lot of games, kept a lot of clean sheets and we’re playing well. So it’s all good.

“We just have to win every game, that’s the mentality we go into the games with. See where it leaves us.

“We can’t get carried away with what people are saying because one day they’ll say something, the next day they’ll say something different.”

Saka is part of the England squad that will take on Serbia and Albania over this international break.

The Three Lions have already booked their place at next year’s World Cup and Saka is eager to impress for his country ahead of the tournament.

“Even though it does feel like it’s far away, you know it’s going to come quickly and the World Cup is beautiful,” he said.

“It’s one of the biggest tournaments that exists and everyone wants to be involved.

“It’s just about trying to stay in good shape, keep in good form and try to make sure that you try and get selected and you’re able to be involved in the World Cup because it’s something that you know doesn’t happen a lot, so you have to enjoy those things.”
