With the penultimate round of 2025/26 complete, the Bundesliga Team of the Week is in, lined up in a 4-2-2-2. According to BuLi News, Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff makes the selections for Matchday 33.
Goalkeeper Jonas Urbig produced five excellent saves to preserve Bayern’s 1-0 win over Wolfsburg.
Vladimir Coufal dominated the right flank for Hoffenheim, winning duels, creating five key passes and completing four dribbles in a 1-0 win over Werder. Luka Vuskovic, in what was almost certainly his final home outing for HSV, won seven duels and scored.
Wili Orban delivered when Leipzig needed it, securing Champions League qualification with the winner, five of six duels won and 96% of 146 passes completed. Robin Fellhauer replaced the injured Dimitrios Giannoulis early for Augsburg, scored once and had another ruled out for offside.
Jan Schöppner struck a superb brace to steer Heidenheim to a vital 3-1 win over 1. FC Köln. Fabian Rieder knitted play for Augsburg, recording four key passes and winning four duels.
Michael Olise supplied the moment of quality, a long-range winner for Bayern. Arijon Ibrahimovic also impressed for Heidenheim with a goal, three key passes and a completed dribble.
Up front, Michael Gregoritsch led the line for Augsburg with two goals in a 3-1 success against Mönchengladbach. Ermedin Demirovic remained a constant threat as Stuttgart’s crucial 3-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen featured his goal and a won penalty.
