Millie Ravening netted a brace while Millie Chandarana was also on target for The Clarettes at Turf Moor.
Burnley have contested an extremely close title battle with rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers this season and the Lancashire club have managed to get over the finish line with a one-point advantage.
Next season will see Burnley play full-time professional football in Barclays WSL2 for the very first time in their history. The Clarettes will be looking to follow the example that the likes of Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest have set in the second tier since being promoted from the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division. Burnley have several players with Barclays Women’s Super League or Barclays WSL2 experience in their squad therefore they are well-placed to be competitive next season.
Burnley will join FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division champions Watford in Barclays WSL2 in 2026/2027. The Golden Girls secured their place in Tier 2 with a 3-1 win at Gwalia United at the start of the month. Watford were one of the original Barclays WSL2 clubs back in 2014.
