According to the renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Borussia Dortmund has agreed on a new deal with academy talent Almugera Kabar. The German national left-back will sign a new contract with the Black-and-Yellows until 2028, as the Italian journalist reported.
The 18-year-old talent had some links to AC Milan in the past few days due to his lack of game time and the recent addition of Daniel Svensson as a cover for Ramy Bensebaini. The Swede international has come from the Danish side Nordsjaelland in a loan deal with a chance to become permanent. As Daniel is proving to be extremely reliable in the past few matches, the Swede's stay could turn out to be a little longer as well.
Kabar, on the other hand, has not featured in Borussia Dortmund's XI since the disappointing home defeat to Leverkusen after the winter break. On that occasion, Kabar and other academy players like Yannik Lührs had to start against a strong Leverkusen side due to a series of injury concerns at the time. BVB ended up losing that match 3-2.
Despite the news of a possible departure from Signal Iduna Park and a lack of game time, Borussia Dortmund decided to retain their academy talent for the foreseeable future. Almugera Raouf Mohammed Kabar was born in 2006 and has played in team academies like SV Hüsten 09 and Hammer SpVg before joining Borussia Dortmund's youth teams in 2019. He will now be attached to the club until 2028 and, hopefully, develop and help the Black-and-Yellows to return to glory.
