CAF Confederation Cup: USFA advances to the second preliminary round

In the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round, Union Sportive des Forces Armées (USFA) from Burkina Faso asserted their dominance with a 2-0 victory over AS Gbohloe-su of Togo in Lomé on September 28.

With this convincing 2-0 win, the Burkinabé club officially secures its spot in the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The goals for the military side were scored by Ismaël Sawadogo in the 47th minute and Alain Moussa Ki in stoppage time (90+2).

After a 1-0 home win at the August 4 Stadium in Ouagadougou, USFA controlled Gbohloe-su across both legs, scoring three goals without conceding.

Coach Amadou Sambo's squad can now return to Ouagadougou to focus on the Burkinabè Premier League, having missed the first two rounds. The second preliminary round is set between October 17 and 26, 2025, where USFA will face Espérance Sportive de Tunis.
