CAF Cup: San Pedro to face Coton FC in the next round

After taking on Cameroon's Aigle Royal, FC San Pedro has cleared the first preliminary round of the 2025-2026 CAF Cup. Next up, the Ivorians will face Benin's Coton FC from Ouidah.

Having won the first leg 1-0, the Ivorians settled for a 2-2 draw in the return leg against Aigle Royal of Cameroon. Dosso Issouf (19’) and Dramane Kamgate (63’) found the net for San Pedro, while Eden Ymele (66’) and Eric Abanke (83’) answered for the Cameroonians. The 3-2 aggregate scoreline allows the Ivorians to advance and knocks Aigle Royal de la Menoua out of the competition.

In the next round, FC San Pedro will take on Coton FC of Ouidah, runners-up in Benin, who eliminated Liberia's Black Man Warrior (0-0 in the first leg, 4-1 in the return). This promises to be a tightly contested showdown, pitting two ambitious sides against each other in pursuit of a coveted spot in the CAF Cup group stage.
