Achraf Hakimi
In recent hours, a date has been circulating in the media regarding Achraf Hakimi's anticipated comeback from injury—just weeks ahead of CAN 2025.
Achraf Hakimi is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks after suffering a tackle from behind by Luis Diaz during PSG vs Bayern Munich (1-2 on November 4). The Moroccan full-back is now doubtful for CAN 2025, which is set to be hosted at home from December 21 to January 18. According to current estimates, the right-back will likely miss at least Morocco's first two matches—against Comoros (December 21) and Mali (December 26).
Meanwhile, PSG and the Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) are working tirelessly to get the player back on his feet in time for the clash against Zambia on December 29 or for the round of 16. This is according to reports by Soccer212. The same source notes that the Parisian club is impressed with the progress of his recovery.
As highlighted by a series of images posted on his official Instagram account, Hakimi has already resumed gym training, just ten days after his emotional, tearful exit from the Parc des Princes pitch.
