The list of the 16 teams who have punched their ticket to the round of 16 in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations is now set ahead of the final group stage matches.

Tanzania clinched the last available spot for the round of 16 as the best third-placed side. The Taifa Stars benefited from a favorable scenario after their 1-1 draw with Tunisia and Uganda's 1-3 defeat to Nigeria on Tuesday, December 30. With two points and a goal difference of -1, Tanzania edges out Comoros (-2) and Angola (also -1).

The final group rankings in some groups remain to be confirmed after the last set of games scheduled for December 31, 2025, but the qualification of these sixteen nations is now secured and official.
