The most prolific attacks after the group stage of CAN 2025

A total of 87 goals were scored across the 36 matches of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations – CAN 2025. Here are the most lethal attacking sides from the opening round.
The Super Eagles boast the most prolific attack with 8 goals: 2 against Tanzania, 3 versus Tunisia, and another 3 against Uganda. Impressively, six different players found the back of the net—defender Ajayi, midfielders Ndidi and Onyedika, and forwards Osimhen, Lookman, and Onuachu.
Two teams netted seven goals each: Senegal and Algeria. Morocco and Tunisia both struck six times, while Côte d’Ivoire, DR Congo, and South Africa rattled the net on five occasions apiece.
Only two teams failed to score in all three of their group stage matches: Botswana and Comoros.
