Canada international Tajon Buchanan told Inter directors he’s adamant about proving his worth for Simone Inzaghi’s side despite loan offers from the Premier League and La Liga which would ensure him more playing time.
The 25-year-old joined the Nerazzurri one year ago from Club Brugge, but after picking up 10 Serie A appearances in his first six months at the San Siro, his adaptation process was abruptly interrupted by a tibia injury sustained while he was on international duty.

As a result, the versatile defender only returned to action in late November and has since struggled to get playing time, his only start coming in his side’s 2-0 win over Udinese in the Coppa Italia.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Buchanan recently met Inter directors to discuss his future at the club, as Denzel Dumfries and Federico Dimarco are currently considered undisputed starters in his positions and some English and Spanish clubs expressed their interest in loaning the wing-back.
But while the Biscione didn’t close the door to a potential departure, the Canadian said he was willing to fight for a place in Simone Inzaghi’s team despite picking up only 54 Serie A minutes since his return.
Buchanan found his first and only goal last season when he scored during his side’s 5-0 win away to Frosinone.
