Cancellieri ‘to join’ Brentford for 18m | OneFootball

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Lazio winger Matteo Cancellieri is close to joining Brentford for 18m, with the clubs expected to finalise the deal in the coming hours.

Lazio have identified Vasco Da Gama forward Rayan as his replacement. An offer of 25m has been lodged, while the Brazilian club are seeking 35m.

The Biancocelesti have already reshaped their squad in January, selling Valentin Castellanos to West Ham and Matteo Guendouzi to Fenerbahce, and signing Petar Ratkov from RB Salzburg and Kenneth Taylor from Ajax.

Further movement could follow. Nuno Tavares could leave the Olimpico, with Besiktas and Al Ittihad interested. The ex-Arsenal defender has prioritised a switch to the Saudi Pro League, where he would earn 8m, but Lazio would prefer to send him to Türkiye, with Besiktas ready to take him on loan with an option to buy for 10m.

Alfonso Pedraza has been lined up as Tavares’s replacement. Lazio have an agreement for June, when his Villarreal contract expires, though a move this month remains possible by paying 1m.
