Juventus Women are set for their penultimate game of the Serie A regular season this weekend, which is Matchday 17, and Napoli are the final visitors to Biella before the league splits in two.
Ahead of the game - which kicks off on Sunday, 2 February at 12:30 CET - coach Massimiliano Canzi shared his thoughts, while also reflecting on the midweek Italian Cup match against Lazio.
"Football is beautiful because it immediately gives you the chance to restart, to focus on the task at hand. Thursday was not a great match, but there are things to take from it. First of all, the qualification for the semi-finals, because that was the most important goal. And then I saw good things from the point of view of spirit, especially at the end, and the impact that the players who came off the bench during the match had, bringing the rest of the team with them.
"For the rest, let's say it was an accident on the road: I didn't see any physical problems, otherwise we wouldn't have been so strong right at the end'"
"There are two games to wrap up the 'regular season', and from now on every point carries more weight, because we enter the decisive period. On Sunday, against Napoli, it won't be easy: they're competitive, and they have just changed coach and therefore way of playing."
"I know [coach David] Sassarini well, I've come up against him many times, in Primavera and in Serie C, he's experienced and I respect him a lot: it will be a dangerous match, to be taken with great care. But let's not forget that, in the league, we're off the back of a great win against Inter, and we want to restart from what we saw last weekend, knowing that from now on every mistake risks being paid for dearly."
