Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has provided a fresh update on the wellbeing of sidelined goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Shot-stopper Courtois has for his part not featured in either of Real Madrid’s fixtures since the international break.
This comes owing to an ongoing knee problem.
The Belgian was also not afforded a call-up to Los Blancos’ squad to face Valencia on Saturday, giving rise to mounting concern that he could miss out against Arsenal, too.
Real Madrid are set to make the trip to north London next Tuesday, for the first leg of a crunch Champions League quarter-final tie.
Speaking to the media on Friday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of Courtois’ fitness was put to Carlo Ancelotti once more.
And Real Madrid’s headmaster went on to provide an altogether encouraging update, explaining:
“Courtois is much better. We think he can make it on Tuesday.”
