“Carra winged about it” – Gary Neville claims to have changed his mind on Chelsea | OneFootball

Gary Neville has probably been THE biggest critic out there about Chelsea’s new owners since they came in and how they have gone about their business.

In fact, they have had plenty of critics from pundits, media, and the footballing world, but Neville has often been on at them.

This season everyone had their predictions and hardly anyone put Chelsea inside the top four. Neville though, claims he watched Chelsea lose to Manchester City and changed his mind.

On his Overlap show, Neville said:

“Spurs were on the first Monday night football of the season against Leicester. I watched them that night and I thought “no”.

“Believe it or not, on Sunday I watched Man City beat Chelsea, and I looked at that and I changed my mind even though Chelsea lost.

“I thought there were a lot of things I saw out there that I liked. So, I actually put Chelsea in my top 4. Carra winged about it, got mad because I changed my mind but viewers at home didn’t know that I changed my mind because it hadn’t gone out.

“I just saw something in the shape, something in the team, something in midfield and I thought, if that team connects, there is a big ask it could finish in top 4, so I put them in my top four.”

Chelsea seem to be changing minds all around right now after just six games in, let’s see if they can keep that going now!
