Castellón 2-1 Málaga became the match that transformed the albinegros, decided within seven minutes and 16 seconds of stoppage time. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Ousmane Camara struck at 91:35 and Marc-Olivier Doué won it at 98:51.

The dugout change had already steadied Castellón under Pablo Hernández, with three straight wins away to Cultural Leonesa and Leganés, then Sporting at SkyFi Castalia. A four-game drought without scoring followed, including a draw at Ipurua, a home loss to Albacete, defeat in Almería and a Copa del Rey exit to Atlético Antoniano of Segunda Federación, leaving them only one place and one point above the drop at that stage.

With Sergio Pellicer still in charge, Málaga led from the 57th minute after a remarkable handball penalty against Salva Ruiz. No visiting player appealed, VAR mulled it over for six minutes, then the referee finally pointed to the spot.

Castellón were heading towards seven hours without a goal and a fourth straight defeat when Isra Suero shaped a trademark left-footed delivery. Camara met it first time at the back post to level.

VAR’s delay pushed the added time beyond the initial eight minutes. Málaga even forced a corner, but Castellón surged down the left, Lucas Alcázar crossed and Doué stretched out a right leg for an unorthodox but emphatic winner.

The final whistle came at 100:35, effectively on the restart. That comeback launched a seven-game unbeaten run, all wins bar a draw in Burgos, lifting Castellón into the play-off places, where they have now been for nearly five months.
