Castellón B women clinch promotion to Lliga Autonómica Valenta with 5-1 fightback | OneFootball

CD Castellón B’s women sealed promotion from Primera Regional Valenta to Lliga Autonómica Valenta with a 5-1 win over Joventut Almassora A on Thursday night. It follows the recent promotion of the club’s Juvenil B from Lliga Comunitat Juvenil to Liga Nacional.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the promotion was clinched in a fixture brought forward from matchday 24. Joventut Almassora A went ahead through María Vaquerizo, before Lucía Gonçalves scored twice and Selena Suárez hit a hat-trick to make it 5-1.

The side is led by head coach Juan Manuel López, assistant Enrique Jorge Pérez and delegate Miguel Ángel López.

Across 24 matches they have recorded 20 wins, one draw and three defeats. The draw came at home to l’Alcudia, 1-1, with away losses to Atlético Saguntino, 3-1, Villarreal D, 2-1, and CD Casinos, 2-0.

They have scored 86 goals, 3.5 per game, and conceded 26. The step up leaves them one tier below the Tercera Federación, where the women’s first team plays.
