CBF moves Palmeiras v Cruzeiro to Arena Barueri for Brasileirão | OneFootball

The federation announced that the Brasileirão round 16 match between Palmeiras and Cruzeiro on 16 May at 21:00 Brasília time will be played at Arena Barueri in Barueri instead of Allianz Parque.

The change was made at Palmeiras' request because Allianz Parque will be occupied by a concert by Korn on the date.

It will be the 11th time this season that Palmeiras host away from their home ground, making 2026 the year with the most departures from Allianz Parque since the arena was built. On each occasion, Arena Barueri has been chosen.

The high number stems from a period when Allianz Parque was closed for the replacement of its synthetic pitch. The work finished in March, allowing the team to return.

Despite the switch, Palmeiras have impressed at Arena Barueri, where they are unbeaten in 12 matches with 11 wins and one draw.

In that run they have scored 25 goals and conceded only six. The sole draw was a 1-1 against Guarani.
