CBF releases Copa do Brasil first-phase schedule and roadmap for later rounds

The Brazilian Football Confederation announced the detailed schedule for the Copa do Brasil’s opening phase, featuring 14 single-leg ties on 17, 18 and 19 February. This play-in round brings together the 28 lowest-ranked clubs, with winners advancing to round two. In all, 126 teams will contest nine phases.
On 17 February at 20:00, Sampaio Corrêa-RJ meet Desportiva Ferroviária-ES in Saquarema, live on Sportv and Premiere. The 18 February slate includes Porto-BA v Serra Branca-PB in Porto Seguro and Baré-RR v Madureira in Boa Vista.
On 19 February, Primavera-MT host Bragantino-PA in Primavera do Leste at 20:00, then Vasco-AC v Velo Clube-SP in Rio Branco at 21:00.
Round two is on 25-26 February and 2, 4 and 5 March, again single ties. Another 74 clubs join the 14 winners, with pairings drawn and home advantage set by the regulations.
Round three, on 11-12 March, introduces Ponte Preta, Barra-SC, Paysandu and Confiança with 44 qualifiers. Round four follows on 18-19 March, leaving 24 teams. Ties and venues will be mapped after the round-two draw.
From the fifth phase, first legs on 22-23 April and returns on 13-14 May, the 12 qualifiers are joined by the 20 Série A clubs. Two-legged ties resume, with a draw seeding the 16 highest-ranked against the 16 lowest.
The round of 16 is set for 1-2 August and 5-6 August, then quarter-finals on 26-27 August and 2-3 September. Draws decide fixtures and home order in both rounds, with no restrictions.
