Celta land Aleix Febas on a free, signing until 2029 | OneFootball

Aleix Febas has become Celta’s first signing for 2026-27 on Monday, joining on a free after rejecting Elche’s renewal offer and with his deal there ending on 30 June. The Galician side will play in the Europa League for the second successive season.

The club, chaired by Marian Mouriño, said in a statement that he has signed until June 2029 and that his tactical intelligence, passing accuracy and vision suit Claudio Giráldez’s plans. They added he will bolster midfield in a campaign across three competitions.

Under Eder Sarabia this season the Catalan midfielder was a fixture, starting regularly across 37 matches and logging 3,256 minutes. He scored two goals and provided two assists.

At Balaídos he will reunite with former team-mate Álvaro Núñez, a mid-season addition in the last window. He has also shared a dressing room with Sergio Carreira and Borja Iglesias earlier in his career.

A Real Madrid academy graduate, Febas developed further with Zaragoza, Albacete, Mallorca and Málaga before joining Elche in summer 2023.
