Celtic are reportedly ramping up their pursuit of winger Jakob Breum. The Scottish Champions have made a couple of bids for the Danish attacker but Go Ahead Eagles have held firm, insisting on £5m.
Now, in the wake of a sobering and dull display against Kairat Almaty in the UEFA Champions League Playoff, the Celtic moneymen have reportedly returned to the transfer market.
According to Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph, Celtic are returning to talks with the Belgian side – who said that Celtic could take a leaf out of Rangers’ book over their pursuit of Antman.
Celtic have been linked with this player for a number of weeks but the reality is that it isn’t good enough from the club to sanction a move after the UCL deadline is passed. However, options are needed with quality desperately needed up top.
Celtic are also reportedly keen on signing Calvin Stengs from Feyenoord. The Dutch Internationalist is said to be available but there are yet to be talks between the clubs with the interest thus far being between Celtic and the player’s agent.
