Celtic’s having a ‘mini wobble’ according to Daily Record’s Keith Jackson

Keith Jackson has never been known to make any sense, and yesterday he continued that trait with a quite comical piece of writing in the Daily Record…

“Mini Celtic wobble has opened door for reinvented Rangers to write title race plot twist no-one saw coming – Keith Jackson”

Keith got all excited by Celtic’s failure to beat Dundee United on Sunday, so much so that he hinted that it might be GAME ON  for theRangers in the title race.

While it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that a side can overturn nine points, it’s a bit of stretch to think that Celtic are going to blow such a commanding lead especially with the form they’ve been showing this season.

Some ‘mini wobble’

That’s all fine and well if that’s Keith’s opinion, but the wording he used to describe us dropping points was rather amusing to say the least. As you can see  ‘mini wobble’ was Keith’s exact words. While dropping two points at Tannadice isn’t what we wanted, it’s hardly the end of the world. After all we’ve only dropped four points in total this campaign.

We are also unbeaten and have scored an impressive 44 goals while conceding only four. Not to mention that last week we won the Premier Sports League Cup. Celtic lost just two matches in 2024 – the game against Hearts in March when Yang got sent off for a high foot (no-one else has subsequently been punished for that) and Hearts got a penalty when the ball hit the back of Tomoki Iwata’s arm, plus the hammering in Dortmund when nothing went right for Celtic.

In anyone’s eyes that is seriously impressive form and it resulted in all three major domestic honours being won in 2024, a nine points lead in the Scottish Premiership by Christmas and being on the cusp of making it through the group stages in the Champions League, which should be achieved before Tommy Burns night.

Celtic played theRangers in both cup finals and won both times and Philippe Clement failed to get a victory against Brendan Rodgers in all three competitions in 2024, he was so desperate that he celebrated a 3-3 draw with Celtic as a victory. He certainly wasn’t celebrating after the next 3-3 draw just over a week ago that had everyone in Europe talking.

And a MAJOR WOBBLE

I think we can all agree that it’s Keith who’s having something of a mini wobble over at the Daily Record. Incidentally has anyone noticed that the Record’s sister site Football Scotland hasn’t posted any content since BEFORE the Cup Final? That’s what you might call a MAJOR WOBBLE, Keith.

Merry Christmas everyone!
