Celtic’s Scottish Cup Fourth Round opponents have confirmed that their hospitality has sold out within hours of the draw. The East Ayrshire side drew the Scottish Champions in an incredible fixture for the junior side, which will likely have the Talbot Board eyeing a sizeable take from the gate.
In a post on Twitter, The Bot confirmed that they had already sold out hospitality packages for the game against Celtic, underscoring the glamorous nature of the game.
The capacity at Talbot’s ground is 4000 but with only 500 seated capacity. You would imagine that the game will be picked up by either BBC or Premier Sports given the disparity between the teams.
It remains to be seen whether the West of Scotland Premier side will look to move the game to nearby Rugby Park to really maximise profits. However, the magic of the cup is that you get to face off against teams like Talbot at their own ground. Hopefully the game takes place at Beechwood Park.
Elsewhere, Celtic had to fight for three points at Easter Road as Martin O’Neill’s incredible interim spell continued. First half goals from Daizen Maeda and Arne Engels earned the points, which takes Celtic to within two points of Hearts, who they play next weekend. Celtic have a game in hand and will fancy their chances given the run of form since the teams last met in October.
