Champions League line-ups: Bologna vs. Lille | OneFootball

Bologna are desperately seeking their first win of the Champions League and look to Riccardo Orsolini and Lewis Ferguson against giant-killers Lille.

It kicks off at the Stadio Dall’Ara at 20.00 GMT.

The Rossoblu were surprise qualifiers for the tournament after finishing fifth in Serie A last season, but lost their coach and several top players.

A rough start to the campaign has since improved, winning three consecutive Serie A games before a 3-0 loss to Lazio when down to 10 men at the weekend.

In Europe, their form is dismal, an opening 0-0 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk followed by three straight defeats, all without scoring a single goal.

Michel Aebischer and Nicolò Cambiaghi are still out of action.

Orsolini starts in attack for Bologna, while it is the usual choice between centre-forward Thijs Dallinga and Santiago Castro.

The big surprise is Lewis Ferguson’s first start in midfield since ACL surgery in May.

Lille have been hugely impressive in the Champions League so far, because after the initial defeat to Sporting CP, they beat Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, then held Juventus to a 1-1 draw.

Andre Gomes, Ethan Mbappé, Samuel Umtiti, Tiago Santos and Angel Gomes are all on the treatment table.

Ismaily and Thomas Meunier are not fully fit either, but the star man in attack is Jonathan David.
