The final round of the Champions League opening phase is under way, with Napoli v Chelsea, Monaco v Juventus, Borussia Dortmund v Inter and Union Saint-Gilloise v Atalanta all kicking off at 20.00 GMT.

According to Football Italia, the top eight advance directly to the round of 16, clubs ranked 9-24 enter play-offs, and 25-38 are out of Europe.

On 14 minutes an Inter break ended with Dimarco shooting straight at the goalkeeper, and in Monaco Balogun’s finish went to a review. By 15 it was ruled out for a shove on Kalulu. Napoli won a penalty on 17 when a Reece James free-kick struck Juan Jesus’s arm.

Union Saint-Gilloise almost struck on 18 minutes, Guilherme Smith curling inches wide after a defensive error. Enzo Fernandez converted the spot-kick on 19 to give Chelsea a 1-0 lead, and Samardzic’s driving run was then blocked by Khalaili on 23.

Dimarco then blazed horribly wide for Inter on 26. Pedro Neto got in behind Olivera on 27 and scuffed the finish, before Di Lorenzo forced Sanchez into a save on 28. Bonny’s flick released Bisseck again on 29 but the defender could not finish.

Perin saved Vanderson’s near-post drive on 31 minutes to give Monaco a corner, then Mac Allister blocked to stop Lookman heading in on 32. Vergara levelled for Napoli with a superb strike on 33 to make it 1-1, and on 35 in Dortmund Luis Henrique’s cross-shot skimmed the bar.
