Bayern Munich hit out at UEFA and Paris police ahead of PSG clash

Chaos in Paris: Bayern’s furious reaction before Champions League showdown
Bayern Munich have lodged an official protest to UEFA and announced plans for legal action after Paris police issued last-minute travel restrictions on the club’s supporters ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League fixture against Paris Saint Germain at the Parc des Princes.
The order released on Monday afternoon just 24 hours before kickoff requires all Bayern fans traveling by bus to gather at designated checkpoint outside Paris where their vehicles will be escorted by police to the stadium.
Additionally other supporters must use public transport only to reach the venue — and will be compelled to return the same way after the game.
In strongly worded statement, Bayern Munich called the decision "late and unacceptable" stressing that all logistical details had been shared with authorities weeks in advance.
"The late timing of this order is unacceptable, As with all our away matches, all relevant information was provided transparently. We have filed an official protest with UEFA and will pursue legal measures" said the club.
The club also revealed that the restrictions mean fans' buses will not leave Paris until around 5 am, hours after the match ends.
Notably Paris Saint Germain have expressed solidarity with Bayern supporting the visitors' position and confirming they had no role in the police directive.
On the sporting side, Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany acknowledged that his team will need to deliver "a perfect performance" to overcome the reigning European champions.
"You have to believe you can do it — and then play a perfect game, They are the holders and favorites but we believe in our chances" Kompany said during his pre-match press conference.
Bayern enter the match in exceptional domestic form having extended their record-breaking run to 15 consecutive wins surpassing AC Milan’s 1992 /93 benchmark.
Both PSG and Bayern boast three wins from three in the group stage making Tuesday’s fixture crucial in determining the group leader.
