Charles, Ritchie lead Guyana past Dominica

LEONORA, Guyana – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers continued with Guyana earning a 3-nil win over Dominica in Group B on Friday at the National Track and Field Center in Leonora, Guyana.

The hosts jumped out to an early lead in the 8’ when Otesha Charles hustled past defenders and blasted a shot by the goalkeeper for opening goal.

Guyana controlled most of the match and eventually obtained its second goal in the 75’ when Adelina Ritchie knocked in a cross from Annalisa Vincent.

Two minutes later, Sandra Johnson found the back of the net as she snuck behind the defense and slotted it home.

Guyana will play Antigua and Barbuda next Thursday in the Qualifiers. Dominica’s next encounter will be in the April Qualifying window.
