The player has also turned out for Tottenham Hotspur, Birmingham City and Bristol City in her senior career to date.

On the international stage, Whitehouse is a new face in the Republic of Ireland squad. She is yet to make an appearance for The Girls In Green but her career continues to move in a positive direction.

After joining Charlton Athletic, Whitehouse said “It’s really exciting, it’s good to be in such a professional environment and to get to work.

“I have worked with Karen [Hills] previously and I really like the style of play. Charlton did really well last year and came super-close to promotion so I am excited for this year and hopefully getting close to that extra point!”

Whitehouse becomes Charlton Athletic’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window. The South East Londoners have recruited very well in recent weeks.
