Chelsea and Aston Villa are among a number of European clubs fined by UEFA for financial breaches.
The Blues have been fined €20 million by the governing body for breaking financial monitoring rules. However, there is the potential of further fines should the club miss future financial targets, which could cost a further €60 million.
Meanwhile, Villa have been handed a total €11 million fine for breaching financial regulations, which breaks down as €5m to be paid now for failing to comply with football earnings for the 2022/23 to the 2023/24 seasons. The additional €6m comes from breaching SCR in 2024 although that depends on future targets.
The two Premier League sides aren't the only ones affected with Barcelona (€15m), Lyon (€12.5m), and Hajduk Split (€300k) all given fines that could increase should they not fulfil their respective targets.
