In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Chelsea are among the clubs hoping to land Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior. It has been claimed that the Blues would have to compete with Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Manchester City in the race to sign the Brazilian wing wizard next year.
The 25-year-old has put in a series of impressive displays on the left side of Real Madrid’s backline in the campaign so far. Vinicius Jr. has banged in five goals and earned four assists in 13 matches for Los Blancos this season across all fronts.
The Brazilian sensation has given a good account of himself in the final third as he is averaging 3.36 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has kept 46.2% of his attempts on target. Vinicius Jr. was even accurate when distributing possession in the opponent’s half, based on his pass completion rate of 82% in top-flight football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will run out in the summer of 2027, which could open the door for Chelsea to sign him on a cut-price deal at the end of this campaign.

Vinicius Jr. is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and can strike the ball with venom from long range.
The Brazilian sensation can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. He is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also fill in as a centre-forward if told to do so.
We can expect Vinicius Jr. to add a lot of firepower to Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca’s attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting spot at the West London club in the coming years.
At 25, Vinicius Jr. has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the Premier League giants to pursue in 2026. He might even help Chelsea compete for some major honours over the next few years. All in all, Vinicius Jr. would be a dream choice for Maresca to consider next year.
