In a recent report, journalist Mark Brus claimed that Chelsea are keeping tabs on Juventus prospect Kenan Yildiz. It has been stated that the Blues are eager to acquire the services of the Turkish talent.
Yildiz managed to catch the eye with his contributions for Juventus in the final third over the past 12 months. The Turkish whizkid scored 12 goals and earned nine assists in 52 matches for the Italian outfit last season across all fronts.
The 20-year-old proved his worth in the final third by averaging 2.29 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A. He kept 36.1% of his attempts on target. Yildiz even distributed the ball accurately in the opponent’s half, based on his pass completion rate of 79.7% in the top tier of Italian football (stats via fbref.com).
Yildiz is under contract at the Turin club until the summer of 2029. Hence, it won’t be easy for Chelsea to get a deal done for him on the cheap next year.

Yildiz can strike the ball with venom from long range and has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the pitch. He is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The Turkish sensation is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also fill in as a right-winger or as an attacking midfielder if asked to do so by his manager. However, it remains to be seen whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Blues manage to secure his services next year.
We can expect Yildiz to bring more firepower to Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca’s attack in the long run. He is already good enough to serve as a useful rotational piece in the West London club’s squad.
At 20, Yildiz has the potential to be a generational talent. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future. Thus, the Blues would be wise to get a deal over the line for him this January or at the end of this campaign.
