It won’t be long before its the end of October, and at that point you really have to start thinking ahead to January.
Chelsea did pretty well in the summer in terms of numbers – only Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi are left in the bomb squad now. But there are other players who were set to leave who ended up sticking around. Chief among them is Tyrique George, whose £22m move to Fulham had the green light from Chelsea, only to break down because of decisions on the buying end.

According to Football Insider, while that move might not be resurrected, Chelsea have “already decided that they will listen to offers for the winger.”
A permanent deal would be preferred, and we can imagine it wouldn’t be hard to match the sort of sum that the Whites were filling to offer. As a home grown player, all the money we receive will be considered “pure profit” for accounting purposes.
“There is the likelihood a deal will be agreed in advance of the window,” they conclude, noting Crystal Palace’s interest from last summer. We’re sure there will be at least one taker in the Premier League.
George has ended up being quite useful for Chelsea, considering they wanted to sell him. He’s been covering as a backup striker as he did last season. Not very effectively, but he’s a body. In January, it feels likely that Emanuel Emegha is brought in ahead of his anticipated summer move, allowing George to move on without us losing anything.
We can see him being a big hit in the Premier League, but he needs minutes and probably won’t get them here.
