Bobby Vincent’s piece for Football.London about Chelsea’s search for a new manager makes it very clear who the top options are.
The club want managers with experience – either as a player or manager. Andoni Iraola, Cesc Fabregas and Xabi Alonso all have a blend of both. They’re all young, rising stars, and will all be in hot demand this summer.

Every coach they sack makes appointing the next one that much harder.
Sky Sports’ top football man is denying that there’s likely to be any change to Chelsea top sporting leadership this summer – they will get the chance to pick their man once again.
One manager on the shortlist is apparently Matthias Jaissle, formerly of the Red Bull group. It wouldn’t be the experienced coach we’re said to want – but it’s an interesting idea.
