Chelsea have made a surprising decision regarding Alejandro Garnacho’s future at the club.
According to the Sun, the Blues are open to selling the 21-year-old in the summer transfer window.
He has endured a difficult season, scoring just one goal in 21 Premier League appearances.
The Argentine has netted eight times in all competitions, but half of them have come against English Football League teams in cup games.
Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has reservations about Garnacho and has used him sparingly since his appointment in January.
Rosenior prefers to start Pedro Neto on the left wing, while the club also signed Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
Garnacho is an academy product of Man Utd, who rose through the club’s academy ranks to make his first-team debut at just 17.
He established himself as a regular starter at United, bagging 26 goals and 22 assists in 144 appearances across all competitions.
However, the Argentina international had an acrimonious exit from Old Trafford last summer.
Garnacho hit out at former manager Ruben Amorim for leaving him out of the starting XI for the Europa League final loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
The winger admitted in a recent interview that he regretted his behaviour towards the end of his time at United.
