Chelsea have slapped a huge price tag on Nicolas Jackson, who will not be joining Bayern Munich this summer.
The Bundesliga giants have the option to make his loan move permanent for £56.3 million.
Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl confirmed earlier this week that they will not be triggering the clause.
Chelsea could sell Jackson to raise funds for new signings in the summer transfer window.
According to The Athletic, the Blues believe they could receive up to £60m for the Senegal international, who is under contract until 2033.
Chelsea paid around £32m to sign him from Villarreal in 2023. He has bagged 30 goals and 12 assists in 81 senior appearances.
Despite being second fiddle to Harry Kane, Jackson has impressed in Germany.
He has tallied 10 goals and four assists in 30 appearances across all competitions for Bayern.
There is uncertainty at Chelsea at the moment. Calum McFarlane has been placed in charge for the remainder of the season after Liam Rosenior was sacked.
Chelsea are considering Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva and Xabi Alonso for the permanent role. Jackson’s future may depend on who the club appoint this summer.
